There is a light

Morrissey Lightbox

As it’s Morrissey’s birthday, I thought I’d share a piece I created a while back. It was an extension of the series of ‘Northern Front’ screen prints I produced when I found some new toys to play with, namely a laser cutter and the world’s thinnest light box. Using the image from which the print was made, I laser-cut the shapes from opaque black and two shades of transparent blue acrylic and sandwiched them between a sheet of thin clear acrylic and a white light sheet and mounted and framed the whole thing. There is indeed a light that never goes out*.
