Brindle – the story so far…

Brindle Records

It’s been a while since I published anything about Brindle Records, or indeed anything about anything, but that’s not to say that nothing exciting has been happening – too much if anything. Anyhow, I thought I should write something and here it is.

Since my good friend Max Hambledon started Brindle Records and asked me to collaborate on the artwork I have been invited into the fold as ‘Head of Non-Musical Activities’ (my choice of job title – it may change if I decide it’s not grand enough). We have released ten singles on the label to date, by various artists such as Max Hambledon himself, Beat Cleaver, BTMX (the pair of them combined), Rhett Maxwell and the mysterious Frenchman Bertrand Contador. They do the music and I do the labels. All are available on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify and various other download sites and can be listened to on SoundCloud. Or you can go straight to the French bulldog’s mouth by visiting the Brindle website.

My label art can be viewed full size on the new Proof Spirit Brindle page.

For my part, owning a record label with one of my oldest friends is one of the most fun things I’ve ever done and hopefully that comes across in each release. If you love what you do there’s a chance other people might like it too. There’s plenty more in the pipeline, so watch this space. Preferably while listening to these tunes.
